The power is lower on the curve and gear shifting is reduced by at least 20% (suburban, back road riding). Maybe I have extra sensitive hearing, but the exhaust no longer sounds like a handheld vacuum cleaner. The first thing I noticed was the change in sound. However, getting the Shoodaben flash was the best ~300 bucks I have spent on anything bike-related. Verdict after ECU flash: I could have bought a new helmet, upgraded my riding gear, or paid for 75 gallons of gas. So I shipped the ECU to Shoodaben/Steve in FL. But then I finally took the plunge, maybe only to satisfy curiosity. Reading about ECU flashing in the forums, I contemplated the benefits of something that had reviews but was skeptical of dropping a few hundred bucks. I could live with it because I loved the rest of it, and I did that for just over a year.
